Team Solent Kestrels Basketball Club (TSK) is renowned as one of the most popular, friendly natured and family orientated clubs in the UK. A club with committed players, experienced coaching staff, great volunteer support and a true family ethos through-out.
The club offers everything from grass roots & participation basketball, competitive opportunities for boys and girls in the National League, through to the Men's/Women's Division 2 National League.
Since our recent club re-organisation in 2023, we are now a registered CIC and have a strong strategy in place for the next 3-5 years which sees us in a developed and sustainable position to continue our journey and rich history of providing basketball opportunities to all within the Solent area. Within our restructure we have a vacant position for an individual to join us as our clubs Welfare & Safeguarding lead.
This role is a voluntary role for someone with a passion to make a difference and give back to the local community. The successful person will work alongside our other 3 Directors who are accountable and responsible for the management, strategy and leadership of the club, to help them provide a ‘Safe, Inclusive & Fun’ environment for all with a child centred approach.
Experience of safeguarding & the welfare of children is desirable, however the club are committed to working with the successful individual to ensure appropriate training and guidance is provided if required. What is essential is the desire to be involved in a community club who value the importance of welfare for all our members and the time to be able to assist with the management and administration of safeguarding for TSK.
