Gregoire Durand becomes the second signing for coach Guymons Kestrels, ahead of the 2025/26 season. Durand returns for his second straight season in the south coast, making it his fourth in total with the Kestrels.

The 6’5 versatile wing was a key addition to the squad last season and filled the role of Swiss Army knife, doing a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor. His biggest game of the season came in a trashing of the fellow title contenders Barking Abbey where he poured in 28 points and 7 rebounds on 63% shooting from the field.

Alongside his playing role Greg has also been working with our youth programme’s on many different levels to provide both technical coaching and athletic development, something he is incredibly passionate about and will continue with this coming season.

Durand posted season averages of 14.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.2 apg and 1.1 spg all whilst shooting an efficient 52.6% from the field, an output that he will no doubt be looking to repeat this coming NBL Division 1 season.

Greg and the squad will be in pre season action from Wednesday 3rd September 2025, where they take on USA Select, you can secure your tickets for that and other games now; https://www.solentkestrels.co.uk/tickets

Greg added the following, “Really pleased to be back for another year with the club. The thing I’m most looking forward to is being back in front of the fans and part of the Kestrels community — the support here is unmatched. I can’t wait to link back up with the returning guys and welcome a few new faces too. We’re coming in hungry, aiming to go back-to-back and bring home every piece of silverware we can get our hands on.”
