Solent Kestrels are pleased to announce the addition of Elijah Lotriet to Men’s senior squad, ahead of the 2025/26 NBL Division 1 Men’s season. Lotriet is another product of the Kestrels/Itchen player pathway and has been with the club since the age of 12. The move to the senior team will see Elijah represent the club at ever national league age group.
The 5’11 guard has spent the last two seasons with the U18 and U19 team at Solent/Itchen where he has developed into one of the lead guards in the programme. Last season saw him lead the the U18 squad to the National Cup semi finals, the playoff quarter finals and finish runners up in the league.
Elijah is an all round combo guard who has developed his ability to knock down the 3 whilst being a pest defensively, Kestrels can expect to see that in full flow as he makes the step up to Coach Guymon’s senior team.
During last seasons U18 campaign he featured in all 29 games, posting averages of; 7ppg, 3.8 apg, 3.8 rpg and 2.4 spg.
Coach Matt Guymon added, “We’re thrilled to see Elijah take the next step in his journey with the move up to our senior men’s team. Over the past couple of years at Itchen College, he’s made huge strides in his development and shown real maturity in his game. Elijah is a relentless competitor who takes pride in doing the hard work on the defensive end, and we know his energy, toughness, and commitment will make an immediate impact within the group. We’re excited to watch him continue to grow and contribute at the senior level."
Catch Elijah and the squad in action Wednesday evening from 6pm as they host USA Select at the Solent Sports Complex. Tickets available here; https://www.solentkestrels.co.uk/tickets
